Privacy Policy

Last Updated: November 6, 2025

Look, we get it - nobody really reads these things, but we're gonna be straight with you about how we handle your info here at Crimson Veilborn. We're not some faceless corporation, just a crew of gearheads who happen to work on some pretty incredible machines. Your privacy matters to us as much as that perfect torque spec.

When you bring your ride into our shop or reach out online, we're gonna need some basics:

  • Contact Details: Name, phone number, email - you know, so we can actually get ahold of you when your Porsche is ready
  • Vehicle Information: Make, model, VIN, service history - can't properly diagnose that M5 without knowing what we're working with
  • Service Records: What we've done, parts we've installed, and notes from our techs about your vehicle's quirks
  • Payment Info: Credit card details, billing address - standard stuff for when you're settling up
  • Website Data: IP address, browser type, pages you visit - helps us keep the site running smooth

We're not out here collecting anything weird or unnecessary. Just what we need to do our job right.

Pretty straightforward, really. Your info helps us:

  • Schedule your appointments and keep you posted on service progress
  • Order the right parts for your specific vehicle - no generic stuff here
  • Maintain accurate service records (trust me, you'll want this history when it's time to sell)
  • Send appointment reminders and follow-ups about recommended maintenance
  • Process payments and handle warranty claims
  • Improve our services based on what's working and what ain't
  • Send occasional updates about services you might actually care about - no spam, we promise

We're not selling your data to random third parties or bombarding you with junk. That's not how we roll.

We take security seriously - kinda like how we approach a delicate engine rebuild. Here's what we do:

  • Encrypted connections for all online transactions and communications
  • Secure servers with regular backups (because losing data sucks)
  • Limited access - only our staff who need your info to do their job can see it
  • Regular security updates and monitoring
  • Payment processing through trusted, PCI-compliant providers
  • Physical security at our shop - we lock up your records just like we lock up your keys

No system's perfect, but we're doing everything reasonable to keep your stuff safe.

We're pretty protective of your info, but there are a few situations where we might share it:

  • Parts Suppliers: Sometimes we need to give them your vehicle details to get the exact right component
  • Warranty Claims: If we're doing warranty work, the manufacturer's gonna need some documentation
  • Payment Processors: They handle the transaction side of things securely
  • Legal Requirements: If the law says we gotta hand something over, well, we gotta comply
  • Business Partners: Occasionally for specific services like specialized diagnostics or fabrication work

That's it. We're not selling lists or sharing your details with marketers. Your business is your business.

Yeah, our website uses cookies - not the chocolate chip kind, unfortunately. Here's the deal:

  • Essential Cookies: Keep the site functioning properly and remember your preferences
  • Analytics: Help us understand which pages people actually use so we can make the site better
  • Performance: Make sure everything loads quickly and works smoothly

Most browsers let you control cookies through their settings. Just know that blocking some of 'em might make parts of the site wonky.

We don't use creepy tracking stuff that follows you around the internet. Not our style.

It's your data, so you've got some say in what happens with it:

  • Access: Wanna see what info we've got on you? Just ask. We'll show you.
  • Corrections: If something's wrong or outdated, let us know and we'll fix it
  • Deletion: Want us to delete your data? We can do that, though we might need to keep some stuff for legal or warranty reasons
  • Opt-Out: Don't want marketing emails? There's an unsubscribe link in every message, or just tell us
  • Data Portability: Need your service records for another shop? We'll get 'em to you in a usable format

To exercise any of these rights, just shoot us an email at service@crimsonveilborn.info or give us a call at (604) 555-8947.

We hang onto your information for as long as it makes sense:

  • Service Records: Usually 7-10 years - useful for warranty stuff and if you come back for more work
  • Financial Records: As long as tax laws require (usually 7 years in Canada)
  • Contact Info: Until you tell us to delete it or after a reasonable period of inactivity
  • Marketing Data: Until you opt out or we clean up old lists

When we don't need something anymore, we securely delete or destroy it. No point in keeping clutter.

Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you're a parent and think we've somehow got info on your kid, let us know and we'll delete it right away.

That said, we love inspiring the next generation of automotive enthusiasts - just bring 'em by the shop instead!

Technology changes, laws change, and sometimes we gotta update this policy to keep up. When we do make changes, we'll:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top
  • Post the new version right here on this page
  • Send an email if the changes are significant

We won't make any major changes to how we use your info without letting you know first.

If something in this policy doesn't make sense, or if you've got questions about how we handle your data, don't hesitate to reach out. We'd rather explain things clearly than have you wondering.
